公主郵輪（Princess Cruises）看好台灣郵輪市場，二○一三年來台設立台灣分公司，每年搭乘人次成長率都超過二十五％，今年艘次大幅增加後，預期將有近兩百％成長率。因此，公主遊輪國際銷售資深副總裁TreyHickey特別來台，於昨（十二）日宣布明年將以基隆港為母港，停靠一百八十天，並簽下旅遊達人Janet擔任台灣區代言人。

搭乘郵輪出遊成為近年來一種新興旅遊模式，船上提供所有遊客所需要的休閒，不論是嘗美食、看表演、按摩、享受日光浴等應有盡有，台灣搭乘人次也是逐年增加。今年除了帶台灣遊客出遊外，也預期為台灣帶進一萬至一萬五千人次的遊客。

Trey Hickey表示，公主郵輪明年度將啟動台灣母港計劃，首度以基隆港為母港停靠長達半年，並推出專屬台灣市場郵輪旅程，成為台灣史上停靠最久的國際豪華遊輪；預估明年公主郵輪在台灣載客量，較今年七萬人次大幅增加，可望突破十萬。另外，今年簽下旅遊達人Janet擔任台灣區代言人後，也成為首家有台灣代言人的遊輪品牌。

今年公主遊輪在台灣的航程將於八月私人貸款利率 十八日啟航，共有十六艘次從台灣出發前往沖繩、石垣島、宮古島。包含周四出發的四天三夜行程與周日出發的五天四夜行程。
